One last night in Kuta, Bali

On March 25, we headed back to Bali from Gili Trawangan. It was a long way back via boat and van (without AC) but we made it to Kuta. Door to door travel, it took about 4 hours but if you add the hour we waited for the boat, it was more like a 5 hour experience. We didn't end up seeing much of Kuta but the plan was only to stay there so that we could catch our flight to Singapore the next morning (Kuta is only 10 minutes from the airport). We were pleasantly surprised with the town and kind of wished we could stay another day to see more of it.

Watching the horse carts trot by while we waited for the fast boat to arrive

Here's the fast boat we took from Gili Trawangan back to Bali (Padang Bai to be exact)

This is just the typical driving scene in Bali...CRAZY because everyone just drives everywhere!

Before getting dropped off at our hotel, we kind of got a mini tour as we drove through Kuta to drop the other passengers off. After a quick bite to eat at the hotel restaurant, we caught a free shuttle to the Discovery Mall...yes, the mall...they even had a Starbucks! It was an efficient and cheap (free) way to explore a little more of the area.

Walking down the street near Discovery Mall
We walked through the mall to find the beach - a clean beach!
