Paul's Country Review: Vietnam

One of the first things that come to mind when I think about Vietnam is, "Thank God the French were there for so long because these guys make great bread!" After that, there isn't much else to talk about. It's hot all of the time, crazy scooters everywhere and you never know where you are because all the towns sound the same; it's either Da Nang or Nha Trang or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

And there was this guy who made the entire Vietnam experience worth it

I can't really recall much of anything from our time here. I do remember getting on a night train, which was one of the worst experiences of my life; I can't describe the pain I was in, but I got to take it out on Christine (what a good sport she is) and we saw the town of Sapa, which was nice.

Actually it's a very pretty country

Rambo popped out of this pool and ruined lunch

Oh, and then there was the night train back so I got to relive hell another time. Then there were the Benadryl comas (quite a few of those since all the restaurants were trying to kill me!) so there was that. I guess I wasn't sure if I really hated the night train as much as I thought, so we took another one somewhere else. The highlight would have to be getting up at 4:30 am to take a tour to see a pile of bricks, but UNESCO put their name on it so it's not just a pile of bricks, but a UNESCO World Heritage pile of bricks.

Thanks UNESCO - whoever you are

And then I shot some guns.

Get some

The End. Check out some pics.

While trying to cross this bridge we were attacked by this dragon

Saigon is a cool little city
