Kuala Lumpur

I know it's been awhile since our last post. Our time in Malaysia was spent traveling from place to place and not having good internet so I decided to just wait until we got back to Singapore to post. So, get ready to read what we've been up to!

We arrived in Kuala Lumpur on March 29 for 2 nights. We were within walking distance to Chinatown so strolled through there at the height of meal time (which we did not partake in...we didn't want to chance it with Paul's food allergies).

On March 30 we took a quick trip to the Batu Caves.

The limestone forming the caves is said to be around 400 million years old. And it certainly smelled that way - but that may have been the chickens, roosters, monkeys, pigeons, and bats hanging out in there. Fun fact: The Golden Statue of Lord Murugan is the tallest statue of Lord Murugan in the world.

To the left of the Batu Caves is another large statue of Hanuman the Monkey.

Hanuman is a Hindu diety

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment at the Swiss Garden Residences during our time in KL and it reminded us of the Silver Towers, our apartment in NYC. We even stayed in the South Tower!
