On the road again...

We had a great time catching up with John and Tara during our Chicago (Aurora) visit the last 3 days. Thanks for letting us crash with you. Your kids are adorable and a lot of fun!

And we drove to Branson, MO today with a stop over in St. Louis to see the Gateway Arch.

We even paid the $10 to go to the top of the arch in a tiny, claustrophobic "tram."

A great visit in DC/VA

It was so great to catch up with family and friends during our two-day visit in the DC/VA area. Thank you Jessie, Michael, Naomi and Sam for hosting us and for treating us to a great (and fun) hibachi dinner last night! Thank you Anne for the drinks and apps on our first night and Heather for a delicious Ethiopian dinner - the first for me and Paul! We're now in Aurora, IL (after a 12 hour drive through Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana) visiting our friends, John and Tara (and their little ones, Delaney and Owen). Looking forward to hanging out before heading to Mt. Rushmore on Wednesday.

Today is the first full day of our drive across the U.S. Fitting to start on the first of the month as we make our way to DC to visit my cousin Jessie and her family as well as some friends, Heather and Anne. Monday we drive to Chicago to visit our friends John and Tara. Paul and I are so lucky to have friends all across the country.

Only 8 hours behind schedule. But we are finally leaving NYC. But instead of hitting DC tonight, we get to spend the night in NJ. Thanks Kevin and Keely for having us last minute!
